You people who have been waiting months arn't going to have much sympathy with me!
I ordered my Rocco on the 13th this month, dealer found a stock car which was sat in the VW delivery port in
Emden , Germany (see below)
http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&F ... &encType=1
Problem is I checked with the dealer today and it is still sat in the port awaiting shipping to the UK
any idea how long I will have to wait and what the procedure is once its here it UK? I am guessing it will need to go to a UK distribution center then off to the dealer, then once the dealer has it how long will I have to wait?
Sorry I just can't wait to get behind the wheel!

No reason given. Looking at the picture of the port maybe they are looking for the keys, or waiting for all the cars around it to sell - that would be just my luck
Hope its wrapped up well!
Think I will give it till friday then start making a pain of myself! Poor dealer will be fed up with me

Should go to Immingham Port near to Grimsby and then loaded onto a delivery lorry to your dealer. I am surprised it is still at Emden though.
IF IT'S NOT BROKEN
I'VE NOT TOUCHED IT YET !!

Just chased the dealer, its STILL sat in the port
The computer system isn't showing any ETA date either
They are going to chase VW on it.................
Why is this taking so long, the wait is killing me like slow torture!

tell em you will pay for a 1 way ticket from Rotterdam to Hull if they move it own for you....lol
Seriously though, the wait will be a distant memory once you get down the road from the dealers and start to get those admiring glances. Its amazing how many people stare at the car.
Taken delivery : Silver, DSG, NAV, Black Leather, Park Sensors, Winter pack.
Mods: Full Milltek, KW lowering springs,Wheel Spacers, Remapped to 258BHP, 405Nm

It's a pity you can't redirect a German dealership to do the PDI, fly over, collect it and drive back. It'll be run in by the time you get home

Not really,
Forecast is only only peaking at 2.7m Hs in the souther sector, and about 20knots W / NW.
We'd still be working offshore in that, no probs for a cargo vessel transiting.
I'm waiting for an update on mine tomorrow, last i heard mine was still in
Emden port aswell.

wind em up watch em go, the wait killed me guys, worth it though you will not be disappointed, its the sort of car you pop out for a paper down the road and come back an hour later with a massive grin having forgotten the paper, dealer phoned my up and asked if the tyres were still in tact, bring on a trip to wolfsburg via the ring

Would be funny if they were on the same ship....
This waiting is sheer hell!
I am sure it will be worth it though
