Re: My R
This looks great, and nice to see you aren't finished yet.
i'd highly recommend the APR exhaust over the Milltek. at least try both before making your decision! i seem to peddle the APR to anyone and everyone, but it really is worth a look.

Re: My R
I've heard the RSC on the MK5 before and it sounded utterly filthy, more along the lines of a VXR Nurburgring that popped and banged just for fun. To be honest, based upon the price of the Milltek catback (>£700 non-res) I'm inclined to leave it and just go for a down pipe. I'll look into the APR's but I've not been able to find any info on pricing.Strat wrote:This looks great, and nice to see you aren't finished yet.

Re: My R
It's technically the golf Mk6 system, but fits the R perfectly. so just look up the prices for that and you'll know the score. yeh it is certainly characterful, popping etc and you're right, filth is a word to describe it, in the best possible way of course! Get it done, you know it makes sense!snapey wrote:I've heard the RSC on the MK5 before and it sounded utterly filthy, more along the lines of a VXR Nurburgring that popped and banged just for fun. Re: My R
First mod 'proper' mod arrived this morning, an Autotech rear ARB. I'll hopefully be fitting it tomorrow providing the splined drop-link bolts aren't rusted. I'll also be ordering a set of OE rubber matts on Monday.

Re: My R
Another slight mod, I've always hated the blue OE coolant and screen wash caps. So, they've been changed to the following:
I know no one will ever see it but it certainly sorts out the engine bay. Excuse the shocking iPhone photo.

Re: My R
Can I ask you where you bought the Cree Led reversing bulbs ? Sorry but I can not find them and you are right, the standard lights are a joke.

nice tips as well
None at all mate. But more expensive than replacement bulbs but you don't get a blue tint as often the case with the cheap LED's.Brummy wrote:Bit late on this one, but did you get any errors with the OE led number plate lights?
