This looks great, and nice to see you aren't finished yet.

i'd highly recommend the APR exhaust over the Milltek. at least try both before making your decision! i seem to peddle the APR to anyone and everyone, but it really is worth a look.

I've heard the RSC on the MK5 before and it sounded utterly filthy, more along the lines of a VXR Nurburgring that popped and banged just for fun. To be honest, based upon the price of the Milltek catback (>£700 non-res) I'm inclined to leave it and just go for a down pipe. I'll look into the APR's but I've not been able to find any info on pricing.

It's technically the golf Mk6 system, but fits the R perfectly. so just look up the prices for that and you'll know the score. yeh it is certainly characterful, popping etc and you're right, filth is a word to describe it, in the best possible way of course! Get it done, you know it makes sense!

First mod 'proper' mod arrived this morning, an Autotech rear ARB. I'll hopefully be fitting it tomorrow providing the splined drop-link bolts aren't rusted. I'll also be ordering a set of OE rubber matts on Monday.

Another slight mod, I've always hated the blue OE coolant and screen wash caps. So, they've been changed to the following:

I know no one will ever see it but it certainly sorts out the engine bay. Excuse the shocking iPhone photo.

Great pics, is that oil filler cap standard on the 'R' or is that another custom one you have added?

I've also tried to tackle the shocking rear visibility at night by replacing the OE bulbs with a set of CREE LED bulbs. I'll try and get a picture later but the new offer a fantastic level of performance.

Can I ask you where you bought the Cree Led reversing bulbs ? Sorry but I can not find them and you are right, the standard lights are a joke.

I got them off of eBay. They weren't cheap but the amount of light that generate is awesome. I'll see if I can try and dig out the listing.

Bit late on this one, but did you get any errors with the OE led number plate lights?

Cheers mate, the 35 tips look pretty trick as well!

None at all mate. But more expensive than replacement bulbs but you don't get a blue tint as often the case with the cheap LED's.

Small video of the exhaust. Up shifts sound incredible at anything >5kRPM.
