I've just had this happen on my Sep 08 2.0 TSI w. 21k miles.

Quote was £800 for parts and labour but got 50% goodwill from VW

m3u works fine for me. I have them in the root of my USB stick with relative path to the mp3 (/music/artist/album/song.mp3). I wrote a c# program to scan my HD. To do manually, try a search/replace using an editor like notepad++ where you can load all the files in at to the change across all of them...

Mine had its 1 year service yesterday and the dealer was up front about the "enhancement" as it's being termed. Brackets were replaced.

There's a cover that slides across, although it's fairly thin and still allows light through. More of a sun blind really. The roof only tilts (about 2 cm) and doesn't slide.

As well as playing folders you can also create playlist files (.m3u) with apps like WinAmp and play them as well. I'd also stronly favour the USB stick option over SD card as the latter is a lot slower to access.

I found a 16GB SDHC card to be very slow on my RCD510 (it seemed like >60 secs from switch on before it started playing) - a 16GB USB stick is almost instant.

Help! My Scirocco has the RNS510 with SatNav, I have recently purchased a DANE-ELEC 8GB SDHC card and put mp3's on there organised in the standard folder structure, Artist,Album, tracks. When I put it in the RNS510 slot and select Media it says 'SD Card Error', could it be that there is a differenc...
