Re: New facelift order
It's like they've gone out of their way to cheapen the interior. This is the place where I will spend most of my time, don't make my eyes hurt! The salesman was mistaken when he though I'd be impressed When he said that the steering wheel and the dials are taken out of the Beatle. That didn't help a...

Re: 2013 model v 2014 new look model HELP !!!!
I'm in the same dilemma..sort of. I love my pre-facelift Scirocco but the updates they've made I think have cheapened it. Those pressure dials on the dash are tacky and of no actual use. The arm rest no longer has any storage to speak of. The whole facia is not as nice as it should be. I'm afraid it...

699km out of a full tank..
I dunno about you but I was delighted with this out of a 2.0 TSI. http://web13.twitpic.com/img/419624618-eab707a1951e810092369e372d263b07.4e91fd40-scaled.jpg At the start of a full tank I would get a reading of 740Km range, I've never reached this but the picture shows how close I came. With 8km lef...

Re: What ACC mode do you drive in most?
Irish versions of the Scirocco sadly don't get ACC, I presume it's because our ridiculous VRT tax would push up the price. Having driven other cars with this function, I find it really handy to use comfort mode when going over speed bumps and bad roads etc and also great to be able to change the set...

Anyone used an OBD-II diagnostic kit, monitor engine output?
I've seen these diagnostic kits advertised reasonably cheaply on ebay and was wondering if anyone's ever used one on their Scirocco or any VW? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-AUDI-SEAT-SKODA-OBD-II-DIAGNOSTIC-LEAD-SOFTWARE_W0QQitemZ300407723073QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment?hash=item45f1b...

Re: New Scirocco, design features or garage laziness!
I also got an aftermarket bluetooth Parrot kit fitted which is great except I have to keep the engine on when making a call i.e. if I come to my destination while in the middle of a call I can't turn the engine off but leave the ignition on to continue the conversation as the Parrot kit shuts off......

Re: Boot opening...
I've just posted in The Delivery Room about a problem with my boot opening, but to open do you have to click your remote, pull the tailgate, click the remote again and then pull again to open the boot? I was told this is a design feature. I found this on another forum to rectify the boot opening pro...

New Scirocco, design features or garage laziness!
Hey there, have my Scirocco a month now, excellent car, so enjoyable to drive. 2.0 DSG Shadow Blue with upgraded aftermarket alloys. Didn't like the incredibly small choice on offer from VW so went aftermarket, what do you think? It doesn't really show up in the photos but they're gunmetal grey whic...
