Rang the dealers again today but still no build date and delivery may stretch into 2009. They didn't say anything about delay due to Xenons or give any reason why they couldn't confirm the build. Have come to end of my patience so cancelled the order and will now probably buy an Audi S3 instead.....

I ordered mine and paid the deposit to Warrington VW in June, and they indicated a delivery date sometime around the beginning of October. Leather for me, had it in my last few cars and seems to make it feel that bit more special IMHO..

Gone for Pewter paint, black leather, manual, Dynaudio, foldable door mirrors, winter pack, Xenons, ipod MDI, and badge deletion.
Currently on estimated build date of week 45 or 46!!!
