Thanks all

it's the only part of the car I can't keep under total control, so I'm grateful for all the suggestions / recommendations. :)

Re: Top Tip cheap wheel Cleaner

Hi,

I took your advice and I bought some of this degreaser on the weekend. I tried it today, and although I must say it was good (very), it still doesn't shift those little blacks dots in the corners.

Am I I doing something wrong?

Thanks
Nick

Re: Passenger door rattle/creaking over potholes...

Hello all,

I have noticed the same thing from the drivers side. After reading this thread I think I will book in with the dealer a.s.a.p.

Thanks

Re: Bike/cycle carrier

I get my racing bikes in the boot with the seats down with no issues at all. All I need to do is drop the front when and I'm sorted.

I always make sure I use some dust sheets to protect the car.

Re: Rattling noise coming from the front end!!

That's interesting, I will give that a go because mine are rattling in this cold weather all the time, and I always clean them in the park postion.

Cheers

Maintainance of Alloy Wheels

Hi all, Just a general question.... I wondering what is generally thought to be the best method to clean the Roc's Alloys (or any cars for that matter.) I have heard various rumours for and against polishing, Wonder Wheels, Citrus cleaners etc. I currently use a citrus based cleaner, but although it...

Re: Fuel filler flap not opening

Hi mate, A similar thing happened to me (albeit maybe not the same), but I thought I would just share my embrassment just in case it helps others. I pulled in at the petrol station some weeks ago in the Roc, got out went to open flap without success, tried always even got back in the car and read th...

Re: rcd 510-phone button

Not for me, it's just the star and the "PHONE" button on the radio, the phone on the steering justs looks pretty. That's also what the dealer told me before the car arrived - so for me it's annoying but as expected. Iroc mine behaves in the exactly the same way that rehmondo describ...

Yip just double checked - the "star" button on the steering wheel and the phone button on the head unit both mute sound on mine. :)

Hi Guys,

I think if you don't have phone prep, it will mute the sound from the unit too.

Thanks for replies guys.

I'll think i'll just stick to the water treatment and maybe keep a can of de-icer in the boot for emergencies. :)

Frozen windows

Hi all, Anyone have trouble with door windows being frozen to the door rubbers? No problem in the morning outside the house, cos it's simply some luke warm water to solve the issue, but it was particulary cold when leaving work tonight and I think I was lucky that the passenger one dropped so I coul...

Re: Stereo Volume!

Guys, Just a thought (and it could very well be an incorrect one), what do you have your "Gala" senistivity set at? Apparently the higher it is the more the volume will increase inline with the cars speed. What I don't know is that if this will increase base numeric setting of the volume. ...

Re: Rattling noise coming from the front end!!

Cheers Andy. it definately rattles up there when it frosted, but I didn't think it was coming from up there when it occurs "normally". However, rattles can be deceiving and my ears are certainly not the best. I will check out advice when it re-occurs, thanks mate for the heads up, its appr...

Re: Rattling noise coming from the front end!!

Went to the dealer last week, although infamous rattle was not in evidence due to its intermittment nature, the dealer took it seriously to be fair, and stripped down the "black bit" etc where the wipers go in and re-assembled it to ensure that it was all solid. I took the car out, without...

Went to the dealer's last week re: the annoying rattle (details on the "rattle" post.) and smear on the driver's side wiper. They replaced the wiper no problem at, and does seem to be a lot better since.

Re: DVD sound reproduction

Hi Chris, I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but I am interested to know if the standard RCD 510 can play DVD? I am looking to put my Itunes library on DVD and then play it in the headunit as a big audio cd (I'm not sure if this possible), but I am more concerned that a DVD may damage the head...
