I had similar, I just wound both windows down all the way at the same time and held the down buttons a few secs afterwards and then both up all the way. This resets it I believe and I've not had any trouble since (touchwood)

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes I managed to change it ok, got a replacement part from ebay which came from Latvia and was brand new. The two sides just slide across and then it popped off. Fortunately it was the passenger side that I needed to replace so I didn't have to worry about the wipers. :clap:

Do a cost analysis, how much would it cost for a replacement car vs the cost to date. That is probably something like £15-20k vs £2k and if the parts have been replaced they shouldn't fail for at least a couple of years, hopefully longer. hi guys I have a split in the passenger side windscreen scuttle panel. I had a look and I couldn't see any obvious screws or fixings that hold it in place, it just seems to be pressed into the rubber strip and up to the bottom of the windscreen, is it simple to replace or when I pull the old one out...

Try formatting it as FAT32 and it should work.

So you have a £25k+ car but won't spend £115 to get a complete diagnosis that VW will recognise. Not sure that is smart you can always make a claim for that money back afterwards? Sounds like it would be helpful documentation for a small claims court filing.

The stock SatNav is basic and not particularly impressive. I ended up buying a TomTom GO 5000 which is great at getting you around traffic.

I saw a new face model the other day, it looks better in the flesh than in the pictures. Probably sounds weird but it seemed lower, flatter and more square-ish on the road. I feel envious of you guys
