Roc - Hiding in plain sight?
I looked at the Golf GTE Sport concept pics the other day, instantly pegged it as one of those ridiculous 'Made for Gran Turismo' cars and moved quickly on. I've been looking again at a few more pics of it today and I'm thinking perhaps VW are hinting at a possible design for a future Scirocco right...

Re: There is a black scirocco r in the showroom in London
Out of interest, what were they selling it for with that spec?

Scirocco R configurator
http://www.volkswagen.de/vwcms/master_public/virtualmaster/de3/modelle/scirocco/rund_um_den_scirocco/r-line_ausstattungspakete.html Having followed the link above to have a scan at the R-Line package there is a configurator or 'Konfigurator' on the left hand side. You can choose to spec a 'sport' o...

Re: I want the new GTI style multifunction steering wheel!
Has anyone looked into getting a price for a Mk6 Golf steering wheel and getting it fitted by the dealer? I assume the steering wheel being put on 2010 sciroccos will have a removable bottom part to swap out the GTI logo as many have done with the blank(for the GT)one on the Roc. All the buttons see...

Re: R disappointment
Surely the whole point of an R version is to make it obvious to anyone on the road that IT IS AN R VERSION. If you see an RS4, its obvious that there is something different from a normal A4. I don't want to see anything stupid but a bit of imagination would have been nice. What happened to some of t...

Re: Rear Park Sensors - slow
The rear park screen with the car on it comes up instantly after selecting reverse, I just find the actual sensing part seems a bit slow to kick in. I don't think there is anything wrong with the sensors, it might just be me being a bit impatient.

Rear Park Sensors - slow
Does anyone find the Rear Park sensors a bit slow to kick in after selecting reverse? If I'm in a bit of a hurry, I've found that sometimes I've already reversed out and got back into 1st gear before the screen even starts to bleep. The screen then sometimes stays on for a bit even when moving forwa...

Re: DSG or not to DSG that is the question
I certainly wasn't trying to bring fire and brimstone down on DSG owners. If my driving habits were more blasty B-roads and less 70 Mway I would take the DSG every time. I think the point I was trying to make is that the DSG box is a complex piece of kit and as such is going to cost a lot more to re...

Re: DSG or not to DSG that is the question
I went through this exact dilemma when ordeing mine. Having tried out both options it came down to a simple evaluation of the type of use the car will be getting. For my uses it will mostly be some short motorway runs during the week and a short tootle to the shops for a paper and a pastie at weeken...
