SKODA Fabia VRS 1.4 tsi (180PS) using oil.

Don't shoot me but I traded in my beloved 'Roc for a Skoda Fabia VRS. Its a fantastic car and it the estate guise that I have mine in means the boot is bigger than Narnia. However all is not well and good with the engine. Its the 1.4 Tsi found across the VAg but mine has an astounding thirst for oil...

Re: New Mercedes A-Class or Scirocco?

I personaly would go for the Merc now. Simply because I need the 5 doors and possible boot. But if I didn't have my little man I'd go for the Scirocco hands down every time. The Roc' will still be rare compaired to the large numbers of lesser A classes. Plus the Roc' build quailty will prob be bette...

Re: Fabia VRS

in reality i think you'd be better looking at the octavia vrs in hatch or estate (so much better than a passat) in tsi or tdi 3 reasons Im not looking at the Octavia although I have thought about it. 1 Its a little too expencive for what I can afford this time round ( extra work has dried up at the...

Fabia VRS

What do people think of the Skoda Fabia VRS estate?  Im talking about their latest model that shares its platform with the Polo Gti and the Seat Ibiza. Im looking at replacing my 'Roc with a smaller-bigger car as its geting hard climbing in the back with a car seat full of chunky monkey. :...

Re: False alarm

Do you leave your car the side of a busyish road? Even a road that has a few lorries/buses traveling up and down it? Ive found in the past that my alarm has gone off a few times when the bin men and other lorries go past. It seams to go off if the lorry engines goes to a certian RPM. Maybe thats the...

Re: Viper Green Soft top

It a complete wright off and they want £22.500 for it!!!!! :faint: I paid less for mine and its in full working order. I recon it might have been side swiped by a lorry, that would do that sort of damage at that hight on a Roc'. and that could requier the roof to come off if you knacker your back.

Re: MASSIVE WARNING!!!!!!

Did they search the car ?, what actually did they check/do. Im not sure what they checked but I was 50 yards from my house and I live down a dead end street (so unless you live there you've no reason to to drive up my road). So Im guessing after they did there quick checks they let my go, no check ...

Re: MASSIVE WARNING!!!!!!

What would naughty things involve? The police officer didn't say and I couldn't be bothered to ask, as I was at the end of my road and it was about 1 in the morning and I wanted my bed. Lol. But my guess would be something like driving like a c#*@, bilkng and possibaly maybe stealing as the copper ...

MASSIVE WARNING!!!!!!

Massive warning to all roc' owners in the South East London and North Kent areas. I was just stopped by the local Kent constabulary in Dartford. Apperently there is a gang on "not very nice people" (not my words) CLONING number plates of Roc's, especialy Candies in this area and doing &quo...

Re: New 'Roc owner in Kent

I would have got a Viper but I thought it would attract jelious undesirables in the area and wound get scratched up all the time. That and it looks just as good in white after ive cleaned it.

Re: Baby car seats

Went to mothercare today for a seat fitting and both Maxi-cosi isofix bases fit in the back seats, but they dont sit flat on the seat touching only at the front due to the isofix fixing being so high up the seat, however it is secure. We also had the Silvercross and Mothercare car seats tested which...

I wish. Can't afford one of them, :grumpy: however I do keep coming back to the 2.0tsi Jetter with a DSG. Same engine and gearbox, just in a bigger car with a more accessable boot. And its cheaper than both the 'Roc and GTI with just as much power.

Re: Baby car seats

Thanks guys n girls. I always thought you shouldn't put a baby seat in a front seat with an airbag, even if you can turn it off. We've been advised to get a seat fitting if we get a baby seat that uses a seat belt to make sure the belt goes round it and that it fits in the seat its self.

Baby car seats

A Few short weeks ago I found out that my partner is expecting our 1st child :D and we are now starting the long and expencive road to getting all the kit for our new arrival. Weve been to many shops for advice on whats the best car seat for the 'Roc and we know that all Maxicosi baby seats will fit...

My Roc is getting a new steering rack as the master technician thinks the knocking isn't the suspention but a component in the steering system.
