What is the rubber round bit attached at the bottom of the front calipers on a face-lift R? Just changed pads and discs at the weekend and never seen anything like it on cars before?

Is there a way to access the cars for sale section please, as I am looking to buy, and figure cars on a forum are probably better looked after than random ones on the trader?
