Scirocco Central

Hi All Is it possible to replace my electronic rear shock absorbers with normal shocks,a disregard the electrics. Would this cause problems with the car or put warning lights on dash. I have a 2011 vw scirocco 2l tdi gt Any one who has tried this or any info would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks...
