Scirocco Central

I cannot get the passenger side bulb out. It's so awkward. Driver's side came out no bother! Been racking my brain the past couple of days and trying various tools but nothing is working. Not sure how the 'key' above would work as it doesn't seem like there would be enough room to fit it in?? Help :(
