Re: MY2011 changes

@raffoul232 I am starting to believe they do it on purpose. Scirocco sales are high even without LEDs and many other similar details. People buy this car because it has exceptional road holding, appearence etc. If someone likes it, he will buy it anyway. So it is a method to cut production costs dow...

Re: MY2011 changes

I haven't heard of it but it should be very similar to the old one, only side by side comparison would distinguish them.

Re: MY2011 changes

Start/stop system will be fitted as standard from week 45. It was time to match the competition in this section. Less emissions and fuel consumption.

Re: MY2011 changes

I see that picture has the keyless entry (which isn't currently available in the UK) - it does look so bad that someone has stuck that on with a bit of UHU +1 It actually does look like it is retrofitted somehow, as if someone did it in his local garage. However it is a very convenient feature that...

Re: MY2011 changes

I hope to offer bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, like Scirocco R. Golf and even Polo(!) has LED when ordered with bi-xenon headlights.
What are they thinking!?

Re: To Dsg or Not To Dsg

@robrain I agree that when the slope is steep enough, then the engine will actually only brake the car, and as you said there will be no fuel injected in the cylinders. But when you are on a slope that is just enough to help you maintain your speed in neutral, i.e. gravity component is equal or slig...

Re: To Dsg or Not To Dsg

Thanks for your answers, @robrain Fuel consumption is definately less when cruising a descent in Neutral than in gear, nomatter how low the rpms are. This is caused by the increased friction not only from the car, transmission and gearbox but from the engines' parts that have to move faster than whe...

Re: To Dsg or Not To Dsg

Hi all, I am also in the same dillema about the DSG. After a short test drive with an Audi A1 1.4 tfsi 122ps DSG, i am not sure if i liked it enough or not. I had a persistent feel that i do not control the car as i do with a manual. Also the car felt a bit less responsive than the Scirocco with the...
