Sounds like you're really enjoying yourself as the best I've got is almost 38mpg just sitting in traffic going with the flow.

same here but I'm sure if you find a dealer with one sitting in stock you'll probably be able to chip something off the price assuming you're not too fussy about colour / spec.

Thanks for all the comments people 8) I've now almost 1000 miles on the clock and can honestly say that the R is definitely in the top 10 of cars that I have owned in my life and quite possibly in the top 3. The only thing that would make it perfect IMHO would be 4wd but as the roads clean / dry up ...

I got the phonecall from my dealer this afternoon saying the car was there.
