Withdrawal of the R...

good for retention values or bad? Will it become a more desirable car (that's obviously if they don't bring out a new model R)? or is it already a dinosaur? Actually, has anyone heard if VW ARE resurrecting the model with a 'nicer' engine? (if that's the reason they removed it in the first place) La...

New Corrado?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I contacted my dealer about the mysterious disappearance of the Roc R from the VW site. He confirmed it was due to the Eu Emissions rules. He has not heard of any updates to the Roc, but HAS heard that VW are seriously considering a new Corrado. Interesti...

Counting down to Sunday!

Well Saturday really! My friendly dealer is bringing the car to me on trade plates on saturday evening and sticking it in the garage.. so I can drive at midnight if I choose to! But I won't as I'll be drunk! It's a saturday night after all! I went to sign papers the other day and had a quick look - ...

Re: Remember me?

I know I'm probably slightly biased to Candy anyway but your R will look fantastic in white. It's the 2 month wait to collect which would be bothering me especially as you know the car is built and should be in the country soon. Hi Ian.. the 2 month wait isn't bothering me as I am away for most of ...

Re: Remember me?

Well IF i had any doubts, there's no going back now!!! Got a call from the dealer this evening to say car is built !!! So when I was considering ringing him today to swap back to black........ Gulp! I laughed that on collecting the car on Sept 1st, I'd be placing my order for a black one! Hopefully ...

Re: GT upgrade to an R?

I upgraded from a GT to the R as soon as the R became available. There is no comparison! The R is a totally different drive and ride. Its very special!

Remember me?

Hi all I wonder how many of the early Roc R owners are still here... anyway. You might remember me as I ordered one on the day of orders opening in 2009 and finally received my Black R in Nov 2010 - a 13month wait! So here I am again having placed an order TODAY for my second! Black roc R is being r...

Re: Curiosity...

I originally had a Scirocco GT and upgraded to an R in November 2010. I love it and like you never see any other women driving one. Having said that, I have only ever seen one other R on the road in all the time I have had one!

Re: pano roof...

I agree with the others... it is completely useless! In this nice weather, I wish it would slide! it DOES give a nice lightness to the potentially dark cabin. My husband is 6'3" and we got it to give him headroom! I never close the cover. The extra 2 inches or so make a big difference! No issue...

Re: Any recommendations for...

LadyRocR can you post some before and after pics for us so we can see what the damage was like and how good the repair is? If you could find out if it is a 'smart repair' or whatever the technique is called then it could be useful if anybody else has the same problem? Oh Sorry! All done and dusted ...

Re: Any recommendations for...

No idea what a smart repair is sorry! All I know is that my scuffed wheels will be taken off, repaired, baked at some point ( I don;t know the whole process but baking in a mobile oven was mentioned) and the wheels out back on and balanced etc :-)

Re: Any recommendations for...

Thanks Jeff! I did an automated quote and it came back at £180 for both front wheels! I have no idea what the finish of the wheels means so left it as TW Sport 1 (i think). Is that expensive for just toughing up 2 scuffs? Seems it to me but then I have no idea how much anything costs! Thanks LadyRoc...

VW Surveys

I got my RocR after a 12mth wait in November 2010. Recently I have had 2 surveys from companies through the post. 2 separate companies have sent a survey and both claim to be doing it on behalf of VW. One of them have even sent a SECOND copy of their survey as I didn't respond to the first one they ...

Re: Viper Green Scirocco, Warrington, NW, UK

I work at a High school in south Warrington and see a Viper Green parked up at a house at the bottom of the road leading to our lower school :-) Is that any of you Warrington Viper Greens or is that a 4th?
