normally swirls aren't that big a deal, but these are really bad, all in the same area aswell, around the chips to be exact, almost looks like they noticed it first and tried to buff it... I can't really reject the car since I have already taken delivery of it and driven it, so i'll just have to hop...

no, but if i took a photo and uploaded it, you'd see what i mean, my bonnet almost looks like its been cleaned with a wire brush in places! i think a good sealant will take the edge of it, but the stone chips are kind of annoying...

My black scirocco finally arrived, complete with chips in the bonnet, and a bunch of swirls, however ,VW won't take responsibility for this, as they say the car arrived at their showroom with a layer of sticky protective sheeting to protect it, but I haven't cleaned the car yet, so theres no way i h...

I paid a visit to volkswagen in belfast and took my scrap car in for the scrappage deal, while I was there, I asked for an update on when my scirocco will be ready, and they said they expect it to be in the dealership, on week 7, which is mid february, its over a month late, but atleast its some kin...

thanks guys... 100% correct by the way about the wake up call, I called my insurer, and they actually lowered my premium! happy days, by they way, im not saying people should immediately go out and get 3 points, i doubt it always works out this way.

ugh... fully having a bad night tonight, going from belfast to dublin... the new road in newry has had its limit changed from national, to 40, which I didnt know, so I came down it at 60, and got pulled over, 3 points and a £60 fine RAGING!

captainlj, The only soution I can reccomend (when keeping tidyness in mind like you had suggested) would be to sell the RCD 510 that you currently have in the car, and upgrade to the RNS 510... Ebay is your friend for this kind of thing.

nope, not with an irish lazer card, they are a digit shorter than the average debit card, so nowhere on the internet really accepts them

sweet, i think the creme and wax kit could be getting ordered when I visit home in the north next (my Republic of Ireland bank card isnt accepted on paypal).

thanks autoperfection, just one thing then, lussu oro wax, how often should i be applying it? every wash? collonite usually lasts a couple of washes, but then if you clay the car you lose the wax that you have on the car...
