P0237 and P012C
Hi all been scratching my head with this one. Iv got a 1.4tsi twin charge scirocco 2011 and I had a P0237 and P012C code come on last week(Boost sensor circuit low input). Iv replaced and shuffled map/boost sensors about but still no good. Iv chased wiring back to ecu and all checks out good. Right ...

Crunching noise when accelerating
Need some help! Iv got a crunching noise when coming off the clutch and accelerating. Once I’m up past 5mph the noise seems to go. But this doesn’t happen every time I pull away. Iv had a lot done to it: •used gearbox replacement •new clutch kit •NSF wheel bearing •OSF outer drive shaft joint •engin...

Re: Just bought a 2010 1.4TSI 123,000miles Need advise.
If the car hasnt had a new timing chain ill advise you to get it done due to its mileage, i done mine at 100k miles as preventative Maintenance to find it was pretty stretched. Also pistons i wouldnt worry too much about as long as its had a good service life you should be all good. Get someone to p...

Re: Vw scirocco 2.0tdi rough idle
Sounds like its just your egr thats at fault. A faulty EGR valve which is stuck open will further increase the amount of particulates causing the DPF to become clogged quicker than usual. Which would explain why your car is always running a dpf regeneration. So in short i would think its egr stuck o...

So ignore what i said about the indicators because apparently the fuse is a multifunction fuse but again if the indicators are working i wouldnt see why it would effect the widow

Re: Help needed please! -Window fault
It could just be a low battery. The sequential indicators shouldnt have any impact on the windows. First thing id try is replace the battery if u cant get hold of one id try get someone to connect jump leads, while their car is running turn your ignition on but dont started the car and attempt to ro...

Help with non charging issue
Iv got a scirocco 1.4 twincharged and have just renewed the timing chain myself. On day 1 the alternator was removed from its mounts however, all wires were still connected as i didnt have the right tool to remove the crank pulley so, i called it a day and went to connect the battery to lock the car...

Re: Knocking sound, piston slap, chain, paranoid thoughts...
Just finished the timing chain today. Did the job run smoothly? Sort of. Did i get the results i wanted? No. So after getting the timing cover off i realised that my timing chain was barely streched. But i thought now that im here i might as well change it preventative maintenance.[emoji2375] after ...

Re: Knocking sound, piston slap, chain, paranoid thoughts...
Yeah i agree i would think its the chain too. Iv been searching online to try and find if theres any way of looking at the tensioner without removing the timing case and i dont believe there is. Im going to attempt the job on my scirocco 1.4l 160 2011 as its now reached 99,000 miles and its gotten a...

Re: Knocking sound, piston slap, chain, paranoid thoughts...
Whats the mileage and year of the vehicle. Rod knocks is unlikely unless you've starved it from oil or have a broken oil pump but theres a warning lamp for that. I would say its the chain, again depending on the mileage and year of the vehicle. I wouldnt recommend driving it like that because you ne...

Re: The dreaded Limp Mode!
Personally id start by testing the N75 valve as its probably the cheapest and easiest fix. A leak in the wastegate actuator signal hose (coming from the N75) would definitely make you overboost. If all the readings from the n75 valve are correct id turn my attention to a stuck shut wastegate but i h...

Re: Top mounts
As far as i know all of them are the same unless the R has something different. Id recomend changing the bearing too as these tend to go with rust depends if your cars old or new. Mine broke causing my spring to snap. Gsf sell both with a 60% discount. https://www.gsfcarparts.com/parts/steering-susp...

Re: Suspension Level Sensors?
Left and right front sensors are parts ... 3C0412521B and 3C0412522B ... so it looks like there are two on the front Further questions worth asking ... 1. Does anyone know how difficult these things are to change? 2. Is there any calibration required once changed? Hi I'm new here (first post) I too...
