Re: "Climate" Front Windscreen / Heated Front Windscreen
I'm pretty sure Ford have a patent on that design. So as above, Fords only. No - the VAG Group offer the "Ford" design of heated front windscreen over a range of models, indeed I have a Skoda Yeti with such. VW also have their own new design of heated front windscreen that they call a &qu...

"Climate" Front Windscreen / Heated Front Windscreen
I'd been looking at trading in and buying a new Rocco - but find it impossible to order one with a "climate" front windscreen or a heated front windscreen. Living in Scotland, both my wife and I have deemed this to be an absolute essential on any new car. Does anyone know whether it is pos...

Re: Another Rocco stolen
Is it possible to 'lock' the stick in 'P' on a DSG box ? I have been considering the good old fashioned steering lock that hooks around the pedal and steering wheel, thus preventing the pedal from being depressed to engage a gear ? I notice that Skoda have as part of their optional security accessor...

I don't know whether they have any Scirocco in at the moment, but you could try: A G Watson Auto Salvage & Motor Spares (Scotland) Ltd. Belleknowes Industrial Estate Inverkeithing Fife KY11 1HZ 0843 259 0134 They act for at least one major insurer and uplift vehicles throughout the UK mainland. ...

Until your driving style improves, maybe you should consider a Fox or an Up!raffoul232 wrote: im still looking around for the right car but it will be a vw by the end of the day.

If yours is a lease or hire car, then a copy of the VE103B Vehicle on Hire Certificate will also suffice.

Presumably insurance companies do not regard original VW Scirocco-specific parts that retain the vehicle's warranty as being modifications as such, thus: Sima Alloy 6,5J x 17, ET 39 Wheel & Pirelli W240 Sottozero 205/50 R17 93V XLTyre - VW Part No: 1K8 073 247 FD 8Z8 Snow Chains (compulsory in s...

Re: Your 1st winter as a Scirocco owner
I think the Ebayer is only putting up 10 for sale at a time - I gather he might well have more available - it's well worth phoning the contact number if it seems the listing has come to an end.

RW1 - the Ebayer is up-and-running again selling Krytox under Car Window Channel Lubricant - the Rover 10ml product, but hey at £3.25 I can afford 3 and still have plenty of change from what the stealers would have taken - many thanks again.

Re: Your 1st winter as a Scirocco owner
VW part G 052 172 A1 (Krytox GPL105 oil 30ml) from my local stealer dealer does seem to be awfully expensive at some £38.89 + VAT - does anyone happen to know of a cheaper supplier? I'm only needing one bottle!

Poor Radio Reception
Help please - anyone else with the same type of problem. I'm finding that in the heart of Scotland, radio reception on both FM and AM is limited. For instance for the 50 miles or so between Blair Atholl and Spean Bridge, at best reception is pisspoor and more often just plain non-existent. Is there ...

Does this mean that the car will no longer come with a full spare wheel, but just a tub of gunge and an electric airpump that's just not worth a toss when you get a puncture?Kev wrote:MY2011 (introduced at week 22 of 2010)

Finally got my comm number and phoned VWCS - they're ever so helpful - estimated build week 8. So should be delivered by end March - hopefully!
