Re: Turbo lag when full acceleration

RAC came out to clear the faults as they seemed to get worse, he found three from when I cleared them. (still stuck in Cardiff until tomorrow). The actuator is the main problem he said, but also there is an electronic fault with the auxiliary water pump, the pedal still is an issue but that might be...

Re: Turbo lag when full acceleration

It did once I arrived in Cardiff today it’s non stop with the engine light and the constant engine four once I turn the car off and on the engine fault disappears from flashing but the management light doesn’t. It goes into limp mode until you turn off and in again, I’ll rescan when I get back in Fr...

Re: Turbo lag when full acceleration

I know  - although something strange has occurred this last week or so, if I start the car and just sit in it while it idles the rev counter increases slightly and the engine management light comes on. The old windows laptop I used with VCDS is on charge, hopefully I will get a chance in the ne...

Re: Turbo lag when full acceleration

It's not, it's diesel, I know the plugs have never been replaced on the engine, but I wonder if it is the start of a coked up turbo. I have VCDS, will plug it in next week when I get a chance and read it.

Turbo lag when full acceleration

I've noticed very recently on the last week that if I put my foot to the floor you get a mild push pull type acceleration. It doesn't affect the acceleration in the sense that it prevents it from accelerating but just noticeable that there is a lag, as if it is trying to accelerate, then pull back t...

Re: License Plate Bulbs upgrade

I just replaced mine with the sealed unit that they shipped with later models and had no errors just plug and play. They've been on the back for six years now.

Re: Vibrations at 1500 to 2500 rpm

Seriously! It's an odd thing, because when you drive around town or even just slightly put your food down nothing happens, however when you floor it and the turbo kicks in it vibrates/judders and then passes over 2500rpm. You feel it everywhere it seems, but nowhere is more pronounced then anywhere ...

Vibrations at 1500 to 2500 rpm

I had the clutch and flywheel changed on the car a few days ago and all seemed good. A bit of play in the old flywheel was noticeable and burn spots on the clutch disc. However I am still getting vibrations when you put your foot down and the the turbo engages. Anyone have some thoughts, thought it ...

Mines started doing that, and my dual mass flywheel is going as well. Just ordered them up for replacement arrived last week.

Re: Strange weird experience over a the last few days..

Definitely the clutch is going it's been doing some slipping going on to the motorway a few times when the turbo kicks in. However I did notice something when I changed the oil the other day that there is a build up of grease around the front of the engine towards directly below the fuel filter. Won...

Re: Strange weird experience over a the last few days..

I've had it for about a year maybe longer, I would have to dig out the receipt to be honest. The engines a 170Tdi CBBB. Did you replace the flywheel? Has anyone replaced the flywheel with a single one, I see Valeo do a conversion kit to a single one.

Re: Strange weird experience over a the last few days..

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes Revo stage 1, nearly 78K - interesting when it got remapped and the new software complained that I kept the gears are too high asking me to change up. When I had some sensor for the DPF changed I got the place to run it again and make sure it was mapped correctly by t...

Strange weird experience over a the last few days..

I have been experiencing a strange vibration from the vehicle specifically in fifth and sixth gear just below 2,000RPM to just over, the entire car vibrates. It only seems to happen if I have a significant load of shopping or something in the boot. Tends to also happen when foot is near or flat out ...

Re: Wheel Bearing nut torque settings

I presume from your description this is the first bolt, it's a 12 point bolt, not sure about the ribbing, but it looks very smooth. Do the other bolts (4x) for the rear of the bearing also need to be a certain torque? https://s32.postimg.org/59dn3b911/IMG_2768.jpg https://s32.postimg.org/mtf6mi34l/I...

Costco dropped the price of the Jack, also you can buy it on the website if you are a non member, you just have to pay a 5% premium.

Re: Warped Discs or calliper issue?

It was the rear bearing completely gone. Changed that one, the other was changed after 3 years under warranty according to the dealer. Not the best at lasting it seems. Although changed the brakes and pads on the front also to deal with the judder Drove around 2000 miles over Continental Europe last...
