I agree - I've had mine since March and got about 7% off of the list price.
My local dealer wasn't prepared to do a deal so I called around and found a dealer that was. For the money you save, it's worth an afternoon on the phone.
Good luck!

surely your local dealer will do that? if you got the car from them you should argue that you want it done for free too.

Look at prefix style search for S--CCO or S--OCO.
That's how I got mine. (S18CCO)
There are still some available for £245.00.

Re: Sumatra owners reassure me!
GO FOR IT!!!
I've got sumatra, and I've got to admit that every time I see another rocco, I'm glad I bought this colour.
The black is too dark for the car, you loose the detailing on the grille that gives the front that aggressive look.
Never looked back!

Re: Collected my Sumatra GT 2.0 Yesterday ***Pics Added***
On the German VW site they have all the same colours except Pewter and Sumatra. They do have a Dark Maroon metallic - does that sound like Sumatra ? Such a difficult colour to judge from pics on the web. It's not maroon. It's a dark grey with copper metallic flakes. The colour does look quite diffe...

It's a dark grey with copper metallic flakes. When the sun hits it the metallic copper colour shines through and the paintwork really comes to life. I love it!danmachin wrote:What colour is Sumatra - it's quite difficult to tell?! Is it brown or grey?

Re: Anyone fitted the alloy pedals?
Finally got around to fitting them this weekend and they look great.
Pretty straight forward, just a bit fiddly getting the clips to release the old accelerator pedal though. In all probably spent about half an hour doing it.

Re: Pewter Grey
I have just collected my Pewter Grey Scirocco on friday and i also deliberated over colour myself. I have just swapped from a Golf Gti in Steel Grey and that's a lot closer than the Gun Metal grey. I think it looks well and will try and post some pictures up when i get chance. I do agree with what ...

Re: Manual to DSG. Opinions so far?
It's swings and roundabouts. The DSG is the best auto box I've ever had, but I do miss the immediate control of a manual box too sometimes. Having said that, you can't beat an auto in stop-start traffic. Given the choice I'd still go for DSG now given the option again. I think that the delay pulling...

Re: They're Falling out the sky.....man
I'd say they are more like busses. I keep seeing them in bunches. None for a couple of weeks and then 2 or 3 in 24 hours or so. Has happened a few times like that. Me too. I've had mine for about 3 months now and haven't seen another one anywhere near my place. Then, yesterday I saw two within an h...

Thanks, Drew
Yep - about 80 quid. I got mine from VW Stoke.
I didn't get a chance to try fitting them this weekend but I'll update this post when I have.

I disagree - the white makes the lettering stand out. Looks good as it is.andy wrote:just noticed the stripes are not on the front bumper but are on the rear? for me i'd change the white lettering to red to match the car or lose the lettering all together

Anyone fitted the alloy pedals?
Hi All, I've just got the metal pedal set in the post. The first thing I've noticed is a big warning claiming that they should only be fitted by a VW dealer. No surprise there then, but there's also a couple of special tools listed for the fitting; only one of which looks like it's being used (and t...

Re: Bumpers resprayed when new.. help
I just read this post - I can't believe a dealer would do that. It's outrageous, and illegal too. They sold you a *new* car not a car with a botched repair. What dealer did you get it from - might be nice to let others who are thinking of buying there exactly what level of service they are likely to...
