The cars go from the factory in Portugal, by train to Germany for final inspection. They then get shipped out of Emden in Germany, to Sheerness in Kent... at least thats my understanding of it. Mine was a week 42 build, arrived at the dealer on Thursday night and I will be picking it up on Tuesday. ...

Got confirmation today that mine arrived at the dealers this afternoon. Going in tomorrow to choose a number plate and will be driving it next week... after all the waiting, I think this is the worst bit!!!

As a few people have already said, best advice is to shop around. I played two dealers against each other (which they don't always like) and I came out with about a 6% discount and some extras thrown in... in the end, the dealer I wanted to do business with came in with the best offer which was luck...

Last i heard on mine was that it was at check point 3 in build last week. Haven't heard anything this week but i'm hoping its sharing a boat with yours tomorrow!!... either that or its sitting on a truck round the corner! (i can dream)!

Got an update from the dealer today... apparently my roc is showing as in "body shell check 3". Does anyone know what this means- is it still in Portugal or in Germany now?? The dealer also said my car was about 2 weeks ahead of where it should be... not sure how this works as i was confir...

Went into my dealers today to ask what was going on as my supposed build week of 38 never got locked in. He said he'd already chased it with VW and that they had moved my build date back to week 42 due to a shortage of DSG boxes. All locked in for week 42 now but still disappointed to be waiting ano...

Ordered my roc at the end of July, dealer was able to amend a stock order from mid June and have been given a build date of week 38 (not confirmed yet though).
