Re: Galaxy SII with MDI
Thanks for all your answers guys. I will probably end up sticking with Apple. It's a shame Samsung have over complicated things using the drivers as I'd love to move to Android. There's just nothing else that catches my eye... All the phones available now and it feels more restrictve than ever buyin...

Re: Galaxy SII with MDI
Hi Trix. There is now "MEDIA IN Mini USB Adapter " I was hoping that had started to become a standard with some functionality but maybe not! I was really trying to make everything easy!
I will have to resort to Apple again by the sounds of it! Thanks for checking Ayeaye.

Re: Winter just around the corner - tyre advice
I think I'm getting some 16" steels and winter tyres this year. Some of the snow and cold driving last year was scary. Tyres become pretty affordable if you're willing to run steels over winter. ~ Had a quote for around £600 for all four on steels with JINYU tyres. The bloke recommended them ov...

Re: Galaxy SII with MDI
Yeah I could try it but I was hoping someone had a for sure answer before I commited to a phone for 12 months or more! I really want to keep the steering wheel functions! - plus I'd have to buy the micro USB lead as it didn't come with the car - so that's another £35 odd quid to VAG!

Re: Galaxy SII with MDI
Heya rob-p,
I do a lot of long journeys and need the time to charge my phone! Noone seems to need a phone which'll last more than 36 hours now! I really want to avoid the standard fag lighter cable dragged across the centre console!

Galaxy SII with MDI
Hi guys,
I had a search for this but nothing showed up...
Has anyone managed to get a Samsung Galaxy SII (or similar) working through the MDI? I'd love to get away from an iPhone but I'd reallly hate to lose the steering wheel controls for the media.
Thanks all

Re: Stitching coming undone!
Is there no end to the problems with the Scirocco??? I've got the Merlin cloth and the whole seat cover has come away from the latch to tilt the seat forward. Someone else has exactly the same problem too. This is the first problem with the leather I've heard of though. Mine pulled from under...

Stitching coming undone!
hey all, thought I had posted this last night but clearly my iPhone's not working properly. I have just noticed that where my shoulder rests against the back of the drivers seat the stitching is starting to come undone! Has anyone else noticed this or something similar? It feels pretty shoddy really...

chojin, you should go do some speeding to celebrate!!!( :shake: ) not sure I understand the hatred of road cameras, unless it is a very safe place with no accident history? Everyone agrees to the rules of the road when they get a license and then after people seem to forget this, talk about goldfish...

Yeah It's lovely, not getting to sit in it much at the moment as I only have a 3mile commute and dont want to fill its first few thousand with silly little journeys, especially when it's this cold!
Some more colour options would be great! get on it VW!

I consider myself 'told'.
Lol, I agree with the poor choice of colours Tallguy, but I love the truffle, so rich in the flesh!

Re: Wiper Blades (sorry)
I have got the smearing but no rattle, abnd only when raining so when I took it to the dealer in MK he couldn't see what I was talking about! But he did agree to order in a new wiper arm and blade! Unfortunately not before I had to leave to go back down to Poole! so I never got it fixed!

I have an 8GB SDHC card and it works fine straight from the packet! No formatting required. Although mine is a wk45 changes, did I read somewhere that only post wk45 had SDHC support?

Re: UPDATES and PICS! ! !White and Truffle GT TDI
Heya Candy,
The day I ordered mine, bout half an hour before, I saw one parked in the VW parking lot with white and truffle. SOLD!
It looks great in the flesh but I think it is hard to confirm in photos as it looks a different shade in everyone! So happy I chose it in the end!

Re: UPDATES and PICS! ! !White and Truffle GT TDI
Hey Oli, I think the quickshift is great! (although I never drove the car without it fitted!) My mum (I'm sounding very young here) did though and she said it makes a difference and feels much nicer. I dont think the throw is particularly short but definately a nice little feature. I'm well impresse...
