Your test drive was probably to short for the temp to rise at normal. I don't think you have a problem, but just to be on the safe side check your oil level.

The 1.4 engine has problems, i have heard of many "non-modified " 1.4 with under 200 hp with engine problems. My advice stay away from this one. The exhaust swapping for the inspections seems to much to bother. I would recommend avoiding 1.4 tsi sciroccos and looking for a 2.0 tdi or tsi. ...
