With all this talk of cable numbers and whats / whats not available, I know there are a few guys on here that have actually fitted the RVC to their scirocco's, so what exact parts have they used (surely that' s all we need ?) I used camera 5 K0 980 551 cable 5M1 970 161 AC 4pin connector 3B0 972 72...

They are antennas.

I have the same problem with my mp and mbp. But I think it might be the router because when I join a hotspot everything works fine..

No,it needs the vw to code it.

The tacho goes with the car. It has a memory that keeps the miles etc. It's aslo coded and if you change it you must go to a dealer to code it for you. Not an easy vag-com thing. I don't think there would be a compatibility issue between the new and old tacho. It's just that coding thing!

Yes i think 3.7 is the latest. Last time I checked (June) scirocco was in but in German. I don't know if that has been updated. I have uninstalled mine now..

You could check here https://erwin.volkswagen.de . It's not free and I don't know if everything is available in English. Or you could download and install elsawin. It's a program with workshop manuals, current flow diagrams etc. for all VWs. I haven't updated mine since June, but till then no Englis...

You should search on ebay. They go for 90-10£.. Much cheaper than kufatec.

Hi no the guy I bought it literally just took out my rcd510 and put in the rns510 and gps aerial. The gps worked perfectly....however it doesn't pick up speed cameras. Why is that? I did have rsap Bluetooth before it so yes I do have it. I drove all the way to London to get it I am based in Manches...

However I'm guess that because theses cars are built in Europe they are set up to drive on the other side of the road hence the slight compensation in the steering as the camber of the road would be on the other side. Anyone else think this? Perhaps someone with a Europe mainland car could confirm ...

I had bought one from US and it was working fine (in Greece) and the 3g feature. So i guess it will have no problem in the UK.

If you have a RNS510 then it has HDD. If you have it then when you put in the maps' DVD it will ask to copy the maps or not. If you select yes then it will copy them to the HDD and you'll not need the DVD anymore.
