Re: Whats the most efficient way to get from 140 BHP to 200.

My 140 tdi is currently at 196 last time it was on the rolling road. The only engine mods it has is Stage 1 map Vwr panel filter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Are you sure thats all you've added? if so then it might cost me less than i planned  . I just thought to get to 196/200 i'd have...

Whats the most efficient way to get from 140 BHP to 200.

Im looking at getting my 140 TDI to 200.
I know a stage 1 will get me to around 175 but is their anything else i could do thats fairly cheap to get the extra power.
Also if you do recommend anything should i do this before or after the map. thanks

Oil problems

bought my scirocco tdi 2/3 weeks ago. When i was checking it over i noticed the oil level was really low so i topped it up with just under 1L. 2 weeks later I've noticed the oil is low again and it seems to have gone down really quick. Is this normal? I've not noticed and leaks or smoking coming fro...

Re: Diesel Tuning Box?

Looked at getting one myself but decided against it. A map is a better option as it's reprogramming everything to work in tandem. These tuning boxes, I believe, are one of those plug ins that trick sensors into thinking the car is running differently and makes them overfuel. What is it you mean by ...

Diesel Tuning Box?

Seen someone had one of these through a post on facebook yesterday. Just wondering if its actually as good as it sounds?. With it making more of a difference than a stage 1 map and it being semi permanent as it can easily be unplugged. thanks http://www.tdi-tuning.co.uk/car_and_van_diesel_tuning_box...

TDI engines what's the difference

I currently own the 140 Tdi engine and I'm just wondering what's the difference between mine and the 170 model. Are all the parts the same on the car? I'm guessing they probably are and the only difference is how the engine is programmed.

Thanks!

Re: Timing belt change on tdi 170 model, who's done it?

I've just booked mine in to get done, bought the part myself as it was much cheaper. £145.59 from euro car parts. Although mines the 140 not the 170, i cant imagine the belt is different though. let me know if you want the link.

Re: Advice on engine knocking

Yes definitely upgrade the clutch if you're changing it anyway, not to a proper top quality clutch though as you say they're crap for the road and you could never drive in traffic as they're either off or on and no in between. Alright once you're moving but no good for traffic jams, town centres, c...

Re: Advice on engine knocking

Fair enough! Cuprabob will probably have good advice, as he's quite knowledgeable on these cars. I'd advice having a look at this thread, to see what the common problems are with your motor. Are you going to change the flywheel AND the clutch?! IF you are considering a remap, you should just replac...

Re: Advice on engine knocking

WOW!! have you bought the car?!?! If you have, Ignore me... If you haven't - RUN A MILE!!!! This is probably not what you wanna hear, especially if your mind is set. But if something like the flywheel is giving over, then there might be other things that would follow. Personally I would look elsewh...

Advice on engine knocking

I bought my first scirocco 4 days ago, its an 09 TDI at 80,000 miles. The guy told me to come about half 12 to view it as he wouldn't be home till then. However i ended up getting their early about 11:45 due to train timings and having no other option. When i got there they guy was already in and lo...

Re: Connecting my phone to the car

If it's the RCD510, which is what I have, then the BT module is below the driver's seat in a foam box. There's no option to switch BT on and off? There is an option to play BT audio under MEDIA which will be greyed out with no phone connected. Using the RHS steering controls you can step through th...

Re: Connecting my phone to the car

I think mines the RCD510, the one without the navigation but not 100% sure. Well thats the one it looks like on google anyway. But yeah I've tried searching on my phone and can't find anything. Also i can't find the menu to search for my phone on the car. Do you think my car is comparable? is their ...

Connecting my phone to the car

I've recently bought a scirocco however i can't connect my phone via bluetooth. I've watched some videos online which say that i should use the setting find phone. However i can't seem to find this on my scirocco. I'm pretty sure the car is bluetooth capable as the guy i bought it off said he had hi...
