I reckon (but don't actually know) that the hardware under the bonnet is identical. The semi auto system has temperatures marked on the dial but that just sets the temperature of the air coming out of the vents. If you get the 2 zone you just set it to auto, dial in 19.5 degrees and leave it alone! ...

Who did you get your finance from? If you got it from VW then i'd guess so, if it's just a bank loan I'd keep paying it off. Can you keep your first car while they get you a new one? If so I'd say definitely go for it as you'll get the new instruments and steering wheel........
