Re: 2.0L Petrol 180 Running cost help
I'd definitely go for the 2.0L over the 1.4. Unless you do a hell of a lot of miles the difference in fuel cost will be negligible. If you want performance and economy have you looked at the dervs? I went for the tdi in the end, didn't see the point in the 180 petrol, about equal performance with f...

Re: PCP Help
I bought my last car (non-roc) on a PCP.. Even though you are guaranteed no negative equity, the amount the car was worth at the end was SOOO close to how much I had already paid, I had an excess < 1000£ to put towards my next car. I wasn't really impressed, felt like I had just paid for rental for...

Re: PCP Help
Mines ordered on a pcp, just make sure you can afford the buyout at the end. The car will be worth more than the cost of the final payment unless you've savaged it, in which case you'd probably have to pay it anyway. And don't modify it until you've paid it off, unless you hve the lease companies p...

Im currently thinking about putting down a 6k deposit so my monthly payments would be quite low. Any help would be much appreciated, any suggestio...

Re: 2.0L Petrol 180 Running cost help
Jesus, my current average since owning the car (2.0 TSI also) is about 21 mpg, both calculated myself and the MFD. Though my journeys are very short, do about 5k miles a year, only fill up the car on average every 3-4 weeks. Current week's average is about 27mpg so not too bad considering the usual...

Re: 2.0L Petrol 180 Running cost help
Thanks for the reply guys, i didnt know that the 2.0 gave back such great MPG. I currently own a ford fiesta 1.2 96 plate, and i think im only getting about 29 MPG i think. I'm guessing cos its a much older engine. but for its either the 1.4 or 2.0.

2.0L Petrol 180 Running cost help
Anyone with a 2.0 180 rocc tell me the real mpg? how much to fill the tank? Did an insurance quote today and the 2.0 came out cheaper than the 1.4 125 ![Eyepop :eyepop:](./images/smilies/eye-popping.gif)

NEW R LINE AND GT BLACK EDITION
Theres now a new r line and GT scriocco versions that just dropped on the website.......
Thoughts? from what i can see they've only changed the rims an that about it, pointless in my opinion. Was hoping they would put the new Golf APC 1.4 engine in the newer cars....

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Cheers Wazza :D The door rattles a bit on certain road types which is a bit annoying. When I push it the rattle stops. It is a metal sounding rattle. Must be to do with the door latch. White lithium grease hasn't helped. I've read somewhere to try electrical tape around the stopper so will try that...

Re: Calling all 1.4 122ps owners and Scirocco enthusiasts!!!
my current car (scirocco on order for sept) is a fiesta 1.25 with 75bhp.... so a 122 scirocco is a good step up, people saying 'oh 122 whats the point' obviously dont consider everyones needs. i have 0 no claims and im getting my insurance on my own for the first time, its going to cost me a fortun...
