Scirocco Central

Hi all, it seems that my battery is dead / dying on the car, does anyone know what connections the terminals use so I can bring the relevant tools and a charger home so I can get it charged and see what happens. for a specialist to do it for you, you'll be paying an extra £100 - £200 for the labour.

I installed mine myself. straight forward for the most part. the hardest part is getting the airbag off

i'm sure you should be able to find someone to code the car afterwards either for free or for a few ££

cost wise is about £200 ish for the parts, then you just need someone to code the car if you don't have the equipment

i believe the 140's can get remapped to around that of the 170's

my TDI 170 has DSG and ive had no problems. tho i'm sure i'm due a service on it.

My dad's golf GTI's with DSG as well have had no problems either

i've done the initial swap over. it's all a straight swap from cloth to leather although the new seats had extra wiring which is for the heater seats etc which i didn't have on the original seats.

RDS does work with the radio channels i've used. i don't use the radio much tbh. MFD and steering wheel controls will all work if you use the default radio / music apps the volume and mute button works regardless. track change only works on specific applications. it might have changed on the later v...

i had these as well. worked for a bit then i kept knocking them off and then gave in and kept them off..
