I've noticed recently that my RDC510 is really dim first thing of the morning (when on the brightest setting). It must be the cold weather, as it takes about 15 mins for it to warm up and get to the correct brightness Ive noticed that as well - I think its something to do with the LCD crystals warm...

Personally I dont see the big problem. Every car I have had since i got my first tomtom, the speedo has read less than the GPS. I've always taken it for granted that the speedo is slightly under calibrated to prevent the whole "my speedo says im doing 30 officer" scenario. Seriously guys, ...
