Re: Dreaded 1.4 160 PS Missfire

Same happened to mine around same age and mileage.

VW Dealership replaced under good will. I had to pay £170? Which compared to list price on a replacement I was more than happy with.

I just stressed the fact its a VW on 40k miles.. Speaks for itself.

My car was out of warranty (Just!) and only had 20k miles so they they replaced it free of charge. However id be pushing to get more done for free! IF you have t...

Re: Cleaning tailpipes?

Use Coke. I realise this sounds stupid, but coke on a cloth works perfect.

As in coca cola. Just to confirm.

Re: Scirocco R vs M135i vs Golf R

I had a standard 1.4 160 Scirocco and recently thought to myself scirocco r v golf R. I went for the scirocco and couldn't be happy. What made my mind up, was having golfs in the past then I "upgraded" to the scirocco. And I thought if I got a golf R, while driving it id be happy, but when...

Well yes its hardly rocket science I agree. However still a pain. And wasn't sure if this was the expected functionality.

Recaro Seats!

Ive got got a new (To me) R! Just to add - its amazing. However it has the recaro seats, I have a question about them... When you pull the handle to flip the seat forward as if you were getting in the back, the back of the seat flips forward, however the whole seat then doesn't slide forward like it...
