Re: Limp mode, help needed please!
Okay thank you very much buddy for the help & advice ^^!! Think I'll take the whole intake off anyway as I looked at a layout and was like you said, hard to take off just the throttle body flap itself! Might attempt it later as this morning no alarm has come up but gone back into limp mode, so o...

Re: Limp mode, help needed please!
Done some research and it seems to be my throttle body,, cleared the alarm and it drives okay again now, gonna see if it comes back, if it does I might take it off and give it a clean before I think about replacing it

Limp mode, help needed please!
Turning my 1.4 2009 scirocco on this morning I found the engine management light on, got to work and cleared the alarm with my friends vagcom thing, took it out for a test drive but won't drive over 3000rpm and has gone into limp mode, I'm unsure what it could be, any ideas?

Re: new cup spoiler fitted
Cheers matey! It did need a lot of work done as you just said it had a huge gap and needed sanding down! They look a lot sportier which is why I went for it, I say go for one, would totally change the appearance of your car!

Re: new cup spoiler fitted
Thanks tommy and deniz! Appreciate it, the spoiler was actually a freebie from a member on here, metal jay his name is! as it needed some work doing, my friend who's a hydro dipping expert decided to take it on as a protect and only cost me £40 to have it sanded down, fitted and painted! Bargain I'd...

Re: 1.4 TSI Timing Chain
My 1.4 scirocco has just been taken into vw as I too heard this rattling noise when I started it up, they said to me they think it's the timing chain so have charged me to strip the engine down and I am yet to hear of a definitive answer!

Re: HELP! VW trying to sting me?
Cheers for the reply! I've authorized it but it's annoying how they're unsure of a problem and they said there could be a problem with either the chain or the sump, but no guarantee of them actually altering anything! I wasn't told when I got the warranty which is why I was so confused when they tol...

HELP! VW trying to sting me?
I have a VW 1.4 Scirocco TSI and I've took it in due to weird noises when starting up and they've investigated it and think it's the timing chain they said and they're not 100%! And need £235 for 2 hours work to strip the engine down to have a look, surely warranty should cover this? Not sure what t...
