Thanks for the detailed response and help. Sorry, but I really am not sure how to word this email so he's convinced to take the price down more than 1k. I don't want to buy privately at any price above 5k tbh since it's just too risky whereas buying from a dealer, a VW approved one no less, is obvio...

This VW dealership won't go down at all it seems, maybe 15k... thing is, low mileage Sciroccos in mint condition is hard to come by. He gave me his email though so what could I say in the email to ask him to come down to X price?

Seems like I found a better deal as this has leather and condition seems perfect, with 1 year VW warranty.
