Cancelled my order today, VW obviously aren't on top of this situation so I refuse to entertain their bullshit any longer. I hope others choose to do the same & vote with their feet.

I'm getting close to telling them to stick it too, I don't think they have much appreciation for peoples situations. Mega pissed off because I should've had my car by now & my current car has broken down today. That will be more money down the drain

The lease companies are going off the orders they've recently placed. IE the months prior, where they'll have ordered a number of these cars It's VW's choice to mess around with the engines so really they've got to shoulder some of the blame. Private lease?

I went to Wessex Fleet Hire & got a good deal but I think I dropped on. Don't expect to be able to get one before the end of the year though! Delivery times just got about 6 weeks added to them

I'm in the same situation but what can you do?

I'm about 5 weeks in since I signed, current lead times for other cars are around 10 weeks - So it would be around the end of the year anyway. I'd just wait it out & whine like a bitch in hope of freebies & cheaper running costs

I ordered mine on 8th September via a leasing company & they don't think we'll have the delivery date until October. They expect it to be mid-late November

Maybe they are holding back info until the cars are actually in production?
