Re: Scirocco 2.0 TDI help

I wouldn't say I get a significant power loss around 4k, but in a diesel, torque is your friend rather than peak power at 4200rpm as proved on Dyno when having Revo map, power and torque do start to drop off, the torque from the vw cr engines really doesn't need to be pushed to the redline. However,...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Washed Roxie today with Gyeon Bathe+ got to be said very easy to use and the finish plus beading and sheeting is awesome. The car does have around 20 coats of werkstat acrylic on though. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/12/26/9320fb29c360714c8c591403d1f29c57.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Re: Roof bars/ bike rack

I use the Saris bones rear mounted rack as I don't want to put bars on and off the car, and cost was an issue! Saris do sell a straight bar to fit to your bike so the bike sits level on the rack to get round the downhill bike frame issue, which may work out cheaper than roof bars as Saris Bone 2 is ...

Re: Inconsistent performance ....

Interestingly I would say the same for my TDI 170 where some days it's sluggish and almost doesn't want to go fast and on others just wants to play and go fast put it down to the turbo and weather conditions, must be days when the prevailing weather is just not suited to the turbo.

Re: Dirty Rocco

I'd highly recommend a good quality clay bar, and maybe decontamination products such as iron x. For Candy White I've seen for the best results many people use the Werkstat acrylic kit, I've used it myself and have to say it is amazing, very high gloss, and reflectivity and on a metallic mid tone li...

Re: 2.0 Tdi vs 2.0 Petrol

Hello, if you doing so few miles the petrol maybe a better option, the diesel is more expensive to buy from new unless it's company car. Also you won't get the fuel economy benefits you get with the diesel on so few miles. A further point to think about is the DPF regen the diesel requires. If it wa...
