Re: Hello Long Time....
Nothing exciting to report VW Touareg for the moment, which has come in handy over the last few weeks Although I have a few ideas for the new year. Any tuned Roccos yet, If I remember Andy was doing a few bits and bobs?

Re: Its a year old today
Mine was a year old on Friday, no problems apart from the rattling wipers but just turn the stereo up now....................15k a few small stone chips but still looks and goes great!! Actually to add to this I have since bought a Porsche Boxster 'S' (Pimp my Box) to replace our Z4 Coupe so now I ...

Re: Its a year old today
Its funny I was thinking about the Scirocco the other day and I have to admit I do miss it, in all respects it was a very good looking car, its handling was just a bit iffy at best but it was a pretty good all rounder. I think it is a car that should have been restricted to being a sports car i.e th...

Re: insane insurance?
I was paying just over 1k for the Roc with a mod friendly insurance scheme most I've paid was on my first car which was £2200 for a Civic Type-R.
Most I have been quoted is more recently on an RS4 avant which was a lovely 4k ouch

Re: Selling current car
Pistonheads, I sold my Scirocco there after having it up for 2 weeks and I got exactly what I wanted for it. I've also sold and R32 and a Merc 55 AMG on there and these are the types of car that get window shoppers and tyre kickers. I guess its because it is a sight run by petrol heads which helps. ...

Re: Your worst scirocco moment?
First outing at the pod after the Superchips and Milltek, sat with LC holding the revs car sounding a bit fruity raring to tear up the strip lights hit 2nd amber foot off the brake pedal and......... Judder the revs fall off the dash flashes 5 seconds later the car accelerates away without any real...

Re: Good roads for driving in South East of England?
Plenty of nice roads around Ongar, Stapleford Abbotts, Abridge and Theydon Bois more so out towards Ongar let me know if your in the neck of the woods and I'll take you on some of my favourite runs on sunny days you just need to be aware of the bikers as they use the same roads for playtime too :) ...

Any vids of your old cars!!
I was just sitting here bored and thought I'd search to see if any bits and bobs had been stored or archived from a friend and mines site that we shut down ages ago, and low and behold I found a couple of vids. I cringed when I saw this one in paticular as we were young and naive and thought it was ...

Re: Test driven a Focus RS
Have my test drive booked up this weekend coming, yes the spoilers are a bit OTT but thats what the car is all about, I have come from a past of some awful looking jap metal, but cars like these have character and are a hoot to drive. I bought my Scirocco to calm me down then the tuning bug was back...

Re: Handling Problems
Actually an airfield is a great place to learn to use the electronic systems (esp and abs). ABS is a wonderful thing, most people have no clue just how much braking stability a modern road car has, just how hard you can punch the brake to activate the abs, hold it and steer around a hazard (emergen...

Re: what should i get...
R32!! I'm just waiting for the right 5 door to turn up :) AWD, 3.2 V6, love the Recaro upgraded seats, big boot, the noise oh the noise, silky smooth (no turbo lag), very stable at high speeds, no torque steer, no grip issues in the wet or wheel spin, no understeer issues, rare, bigger brakes and lo...
