Had APR stage 1 put on today and really impressed with the difference.
If anything it's made me think about steering and braking as opposed to more power now. Not convinced with the R's standard brakes

Potential Mods and ideas
Well after years of debating whether to change anything mechanical and alter the appearance to much i have decided what the hell. Question is what to do as I haven't got a huge budget. I'm going to leave £1500-£2000 a side to play around with and wondered what people would do with that budget. The c...

Re: Revo v APR Stage 1
Thanks a lot for everyones input. I have never really give much thought to a custom map. R-Tech are only an hour away from me so i think i may well give them a call and run it through with them. Whats the main benefit of a custom map over Revo/APR's? Do they look at my driving styles or is it to do ...

Revo v APR Stage 1
Ive been toying with a remap for the last 3 years and finally made the decision to just move forward and get one. I know its the age old question and will possibly boil down to opinion for most but i thought i would just get the general consensus before i take the plunge. So after finally decided on...

Re: 2.0TDI Stage 2?
The likes of Revo do it but you will require at least the DPF to be be removed. If you have a manual i would imagine you will need a new clutch sooner or later. I have been toying with the idea of stage 2 on my CR for a while so if you go ahead let me know. I have heard of people getting to 210bhp w...

Re: Emissions recall
I have been keeping an eye on this. Im not keen on getting the update, and then i give it some thought. I am not a mechanic or knowledgeable on cars what so ever, so my following thought process might be complete rubbish, if the sole purpose was to lower the emissions, surely be deleting this the ca...

Re: what tyres is everyone rocking?
I had Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my GT TDI and they are excellent.
Just about to put 4 new tyres on the R and toying with the idea of the PSS's again. VW are prepared to do them at £150 each corner which sounds respectable?

Re: Induction Kit
Turns out the cambelt was done last month which is a result. Ive been looking at remap's for the last 3 years and just from reading what i have seen its seems Revo is less aggressive than APR (obviously im not sure if thats the truth). Im based in Northampton so i have both on more doorstep. Now i k...

Re: Buying a Scirocco R
I took the plunge and bought the motor. Its in Black and im loving it so far! I thought i might try and just use it at the weekends to keep the mileage down. Its a very basic R, comes without leather seats, DSG or rear parking sensors but it really does power through the gears. Ive done 250 miles si...
