Mine's rattling dispite missing bump stops.RW1 wrote:Interestly today, no boot hatch rattle dispite the hatch bump stops missing.
I agree! Same situation here (central Europe, near Austria, Italy, adriatic Sea...) - lots of snow, to cold to melt.ayc1985 wrote:Stupid snow!

Hi!ayc1985 wrote:I bought my car in september and it has the same problem. I've been too lazy to sort it out but have booked it in tomorrow to get it checked. Thanks for your information guys, I know what to tell them pretty much. Will report back with my findings!
Well, tailgate rattle has become "my middle name" already (an old rusty Polo from 1996 doesn't produce such noises through the potholes!). There's also a squeek present (1.4 tsi 160) and so far that's it.johanvs wrote:So anyone recognise any of the points from their rocs?
thanks anywaythebeast1234 wrote:Well the Roc is back from service, the recall was to replace the tailgate hinges, apparently they are prone to rusting, so nothing to do with the rattling, looks like I'll have to try the adjusting of the dampers.
I put the dampers out for about 5mm, I'll now try with 7 or more (although I have some thoughts, I hope the tailgate will stay closedDigiman wrote:Hi, I have mine adjusted out about 7mm and mine is OK. You should tighten the bolt or else it might just push in when you close the tailgate.
