I thought that the internal baffles in the tank would reduce the fuel sloshing around to large degree and what there is would be less than the engine / road noise.

But I have a drive around the next time I fill up and listen out for it.

I got a car from Jamjar.com a few years ago and it had scuffs on the wheels that I had not noticed from the strops that had secured it to the trailer.

With regard to the insurance it is because by adding different alloys from standard it makes it more attractive to the less honest people out there and therefore at greater risk. As long as they fitted correctly onto the hub and had the correctly rated tyres I don’t see the reason why not.

It could however invalidate your insurance cover if you did not tell them that it was no longer standard.

If it was myself and I was selling private, I would take any potential buyer out for a spin in it with me behind the wheel if I was not 100% happy with the buyer for whatever reason.
