Thanks again. That's roughly in line with the results I got from a different calculator. Obviously narrower winter wheels are better for the job [and cheaper], but I guess there will be some level of compromise required. I was hoping to avoid using spacers, but 23mm is a lot.

Thanks. I've doing some more reading and it appears the MSW 22 has an offset of 45, which would result in a -19mm move of the outside of the wheel. I'm not sure how this would look, but I reckon all else being equal, less offset would be more desirable aesthetically, say 35 or 30?

I'm currently looking at a couple of Sciroccos and am wondering about when the 'big' services are and what jobs if any should be done at or around 40k miles.
My google-fu is lacking I'm afraid....

It was me that doesn't like the reg, but I don't like any private plates. Would've sold it if I'd snagged the car but was too slow!

I phoned them on Thursday or Friday, I forget which. Would've been over on Sat for a look but had stuff to do. Ah well, happy driving...
