Re: Looking at buying an R, any advice?

Thank you for your reply buddy, that does sound very good, I do still love the pre facelift R as well. I will no doubt post up when I get down to numbers and purchasing, the only other problem I am facing at the moment is the amount of targeted R's in and around my area. I live in a village not far ...

Re: Looking at buying an R, any advice?

Hi All, I just thought I would jump on the back of this post as I am also looking to purchase an R fairly soon. I had a MK3 Scirocco 1.4 TSI (160), which was fantastic, until the inevitable happened and it needed a rebuild around the 60k mark. So although I loved it, mechanically it was a nightmare,...

Not a fan of the alloys but the rest looks nice, love the aesthetics of a Seat Leon but the interiors always dissapoint me.

Re: Scirocco R Invasion Down Under

Probably the best looking/modified Scirocco I have ever seen, considering I saw a matt grey scirocco the other week that looked like it was not being looked after, looking at yours I am very envious, fantastic car, very jealous! Still very early days for me in the modifying stages. Well done mate.

Concerned-Any Ideas?

Hi All, My 1.4 TSI with a Stage 1 Revo Map is starting to raise a couple of concerns for me, hopefully nothing to major and the paranoia is causing the majority of the problem :fall: Back in January I created a topic concerning my blown turbo, and a few members clearly pointed out that I shouldn't b...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Regrettably took mine to the JDM vs VAG meet in Birmingham this evening expecting it to be ok. I think it's safe to say I will never be seen there again. The scent of cannabis as I got out the car was the first sign it was a bad idea, and the more people that turned up made it easier for me to decid...

Re: Incase you didnt already know

I live in quite a reputable area and it seems to be the case that no matter where you are based they are still going to try and break in. Luckilly our road has also had the new street lamps fitted with white LEDs', they've been going up a lot recently, so our hill is lit up like a christmas tree. I ...

Re: Incase you didnt already know

Hi Mattcliff, Sorry to hear you have had this experience. These are quite worrying times at the moment as 3 of my freinds who live around the Midlands area have had their houses smashed into, and they have been threatened for the keys for the cars, usually holding weapons to them. They have all deci...

Re: RCD510, Dynaudio... Fader??

It might be something completely seperate but I thought I would mention this just incase, when I bought my Scirocco, it was second hand, and the previous owner had decided to remove the uprated iPod connector that comes standard with the car, and they had fitted a bog standard iPod connector that di...

Re: 2013 F1 topic

Was a great first race for the season. Mercedes look around the same pace as last year so will be interesting to see how they progress. Also glad that Raikonnen won the first race as Lotus derserve it after last season. I am personally hoping to see a lot less of Red Bull on pole and on the podium t...

Wheels coated Satin black, interior trim wrapped carbon fibre (not yet finished) and decals fitted. Found the interior trim very easy to remove. :) http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/6458/img4880m.jpg http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/4304/img4883g.jpg http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/8665/img4892k.j...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

I'll second the above and spent roughly 3 hours cleaning, waxing, taking off the tar with 303, then going over the car with Iron X for this years cover against residue, finished off with Meguires and Werkstat detailing and wheel shine, wheels are going in tomorrow for black gloss coat so looking for...

I agree Matt I did this to mine last weekend and it looks amazing, license plate and reading lights are my favourite difference. Festoon and footwell lights also look nice!

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

I have been sponsored by Revo on the RICO Rally so she did get a discount, it was £410 altogether including the dyno read outs which are £25 when you get it done at the same time as the map. I commute from Sutton Coldfield to Coventry everyday on the M6 and I have been advised as long as I drive eco...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Indeed. I'm a very lucky guy  Dyno went very well, and the difference is amazing with the Revo map. Very happy. Would also like to mention that using Shell Vpower has made a huge impact on performance, they advised they usually see a 10% drop in power on the remap when using standard or cheaper...
