Re: Damaged rear panel
I was turning right on a roundabout and an old guy in a little Peugeot came straight into roundabout and slammed into me, I don’t think he even slowed down so was doing at least 25 mph. I think the wheel took a lot of the impact but the lateral movement damaged the panel. The door is ok and no dents...

Re: Damaged rear panel
Thanks for your reply, I need to take it to the garage tomorrow, I hope it doesn’t get written off as it would a real shame.
Although I would consider buying it back and repairing myself as I really don’t want to give her up.

Damaged rear panel
Just looking for opinions if you think an insurance company would write off the car. Would be gutted if they did. I think it’s repairable but wouldn’t have any idea what it would cost.

Re: Auto lights
Byte 10 bit 3. I have no idea why it was selected, found a link online that suggested the error code was caused by that selection so turned it off and error now gone. Bought the car second hand from a dealer. Have strong suspicions that the previous owner played around with the settings that's why I...

Re: Auto lights
Fuses checked and all ok. Removed fuse and lights are on in '0' position and on in 'auto' as expected by design. Replaced fuse and lights are off in '0' position and on in 'auto' Coming home and leaving home still not working. Will definitely need to visit VW and get them to sort it. The 03252 error...

Hi Roy_01 Just been looking through our conversation and realised I hadn't published the fault codes when I thought I had and that's why I was going down the fuse route. So here's the fault codes that show up please let me know what you think. Also when I try and make any changes to the sensitivity ...

Re: Auto lights
Just checked all my fuses but can't find anything blown. Coming home/leaving home lights don't work along with door warning light (the lights at the bottom of the door panels). Could do with a fuse diagram but the bright boffins at vw decided not to include one in the manuals. Probably have more luc...

Re: Auto lights
I do think the light sensor is faulty because the sat nav is set to auto for day and night and flips between day and night regardless of what the time of day is. the car is still under warranty so will take a trip to vw.

Re: Auto lights
Hi roy_01
There are so many different settings for DRL so I will check and see if that setting is selected and test.
A friend did suggest that the setting for assisted driving might be the culprit so will check that also and let you know.
Cheers

Re: knocking noise at 25mph
Problems solved. Unbelievable that all the noise was from a tyre. Swapped the front to rear and noise has gone. Don't even get any noise from rear. Changed spark plug gap to 1mm and judder has gone when running cold and between to 30 and 40 mph zone. So if your running a 2.0 tsi with bluefin looks l...

spark plug gap 2.0 tsi with bluefin
Hi.
Any one know the ideal spark plug gap for a 2.0tsi with bluefin.
Am running with iridium ngk with 0.75 gap at present but does not feel right and a friend said it may be the wrong gap but couldn't tell me what it should be.

Re: knocking noise at 25mph
Hi Cuprabob.
just out of interest as you mention the possibility of a miss fire being one of my problems would you know what the ideal spark plug gap should be for a 2.0 tsi with bluefin remap. At present I am using iridium ngk plugs with default gap of 0.75. Thanks. Mike
