I have the winter pack, and once the light comes on, it stays on until you fill it up. Always seems to be on at the moment with the poor weather!!

Im not sure what the offical MPG is for the 170TDi, however I get 60-62mpg average when travelling for work which im really happy with compared to my old BMW 3.0 Diesel which got mid 20's!

After watching the video, im tempted to go for a test drive...

Ive found other Viper drivers do wave and flash, not had much luck with other colours though, gave up after a few weeks...

The service report states the wear is quite even: 4mm/3mm/3mm - Gonna leave them on for abit longer, so maybe i'll see around 12k.

Im glad that im not the only one - the rears are still at 7mm, so it looks like i'll get around 3 sets on the front to 1 set on the back - crazy!!

I only went on a short test drive, but it was noticeably quicker, especially from a stand still. The main reason I didnt buy was their used cost, and the fast to buy new was out of my price range.

I drove the exact car prior to buying the Scirocco. It was used, 1 year old, and the dealer wouldnt reach a deal. Wouldnt reduce the screen price, so I walked away. It was shit hot though mate! Went like stink!

Thanks for the advice. The knocking is coming from the drivers side, so this afternoon I stripped out the boot lining and found the parking sensor control unit - as the video shows its barely attached and shakes around everywhere. So I wedged it with a nice piece of sponge. Sorted - or so I thought....

I asked for an equivalent car to mine when it went in for Cruise to be fitted, and they gave me a brand new golf. Cant complain, but they had about three weeks notice to get it sorted.

Tyre fitted on Wednesday by Kwikfit, £201 all in - tyre had to be ordered from Pirelli in London with it being the K1 specific to our cars.

Now fitted, £240 all in. Works a treat. I had a 1.6TDI 61 plate Golf Match as a loan car, and that had cruise as standard, yet a GT Scirocco its optional - abit backwards?
