So you've got to have your door (or doors) stripped down then? I really don't like this idea as VW always break something when they are supposed to fixing it!
Probably worth selling I think. I'm getting close to having enough with this car.

Trims obviously peanuts.

Climate control panel
Can you replace the "2 dial" climate control panel with the newer "2012/2013" version with 3 silver dials?
I am assuming its purely just a cosmetic change?

Re: Outer door handles 'sticking'
I would say that both my passenger door and drivers door are exactly the same in terms if their lack of 'pull back' to their rest point. I still have a passat cc at the moment and the door handles are identical and have the same type of frameless window drop as the scirocco. My car was registered Au...

Re: Outer door handles 'sticking'
Thanks RW1 - I'll be honest this is rediculous for a 30k car from new. How on earth can it be so far out from new??
I'll speak to dealers as theres no way i'm going to attempt that!
I think I have a melon here guys...

Re: Outer door handles 'sticking'
Always been the case. I assumed at first it was just down to lack of lubricant. Service guy said bowden cable? The locks and handles as I said have been fulled cleaned and lubed with the same grease VW use.
How can you adjust them slightly then RW1 so the 'snap' back?

Outer door handles 'sticking'
Hi all, Thought I would ask about something that is really bugging me. I have had a Golf and a brand new Passat CC (frameless windows) in the last week as courtesy cars - one a year old and the other brand new and the outer door handles are perfectly solid. They are 'pulled' in and are flush with th...

Frozen stuck locks!!
Just went out to the car - minus 1 outside. Opened car, locks opened and windows went down BUT The door handles really didnt want to pull out and made a slight icy crunching sound. When i tried locking the car again the door closes but the locks dont engage the strikers.... In summary, I can 'lock' ...

Re: MDI AND Aux input not working!
Update: I told VW the MDI wasn't working and they replaced the RCD510 (even though it works perfectly - idiots), then when I next spoke to them they said the technician has found another fault with the MDI and we have replaced that! In short, you were right, the MDI did need replacing, shame VW did...

Re: MDI AND Aux input not working!
Thanks RW1, Do VW sell the genuine keys for the removal? I can see the slots. Or do you have the part number? Ironically, I had thought about removing the unit anyway as I have had a tapping noise from this area since I bought it. Sounds like a cable tapping against the plastic in the bottom of the ...

Re: MDI AND Aux input not working!
Hi RW1, Thanks for the quick reply, it's much appreciated. Nope, nothing has been touched, everything all factory. Only thing is the car had a DSG software update for the gearbox as it was a little erratic but thats it. I can't see that affecting it? I don't have a VCDS ;( I have cleaned all the con...

MDI AND Aux input not working!
As per the title guys. I have an RCD510 with dynaudio. Media in and aux worked fine when I bought the car. I now only ever use the sd card. However just tried using a USB flash drive with mps it's not working. I have tried every possible combination of iPod, and USB cables and 3.5mm cables and numer...

Bleeding brakes
Took my car to VW in the south of England (not naming names) who did a simple £59 brake fluid flush. Apparently it was 'taking longer than expected' as there was some air in the system. So they rebled the system a second time . Jumping in the car the brake pedal goes right to the floor and nearly al...

Re: Rear discs on 2.0TSI
Ok, i'm with you.
But what I'm getting at specifically is: Do all 2.0 TSI's have the same size rear discs, and if not why?!
Mines a 2010 210 BHP model so i cant understand why it would have smaller discs than a MK5 Golf.
Won't need the calipers but thatnks for the offer!

Rear discs on 2.0TSI
Hi all, Did a search but still a little confused. Apparently some 2.0 TSI's have 288mm rear discs and some have 255mm rear discs. Was this an update/change or is this specific to some models. I can understand if the 200PS rocs had 255's and then gave the 210PS's 288mm discs, but mine is a 210PS and ...

Re: Tailgate rattle/clunk
Hi all, Just thought id post here seeing as I also found this thread helpful. Had the rocco with no rattles, then one day i noticed i after opening the boot, the vibration of closing the drivers door made it click and lock back again as many have had in this thread. Long story short, VW had car twic...
