Re: BUYING ADVICE NEEDED - 1.4 122bhp or 160bhp??

Personal taste. I tested the 140, more money than the 160 to buy. The 140 was to me like driving a sports car with a 1litre engine, pointless. I would not have bought a scirocco if that had been the only option. I know you can remap but some people just want to buy a car and not mess with it. My pet...

Re: BUYING ADVICE NEEDED - 1.4 122bhp or 160bhp??

The problems with the 1.4 were pre 2010 in ink. I have a 61 plate 160 tsi from new and just covered 40k mile. Serviced at vw and no engine problems at all, runs great. Personal choice really I tested the 140 diesel and did not like it, plus from new could not justify the extra cost at the time. Depe...

Lots of road noise at the rear

Hi everyone, my rocco has done 35k miles, For the last 5k I have a lot of noise at the rear wheels sounds like rubbing or wheel bearings but drives absolutely fine just noisy. Still has original Pirelli tyres, could it be the tyres worn and making the noise? Any other experience or help appreciated ...

Re: fuel mpg average indicator

I think it does take a little while for the engine to bed in ( but this maybe just hearsay). I have a petrol 160 and get average 44 since new which is where it should be now, and that is 4000 miles since september. The first 1000 miles though I could not get above 38 mpg. so many factors - road type...

Re: iphone holder for my rocco

Hi I bought a really cheap one that slots on to the vents on the dash for £4 from fleabay. I thought for the price was worth a shot. It is brilliant and hols the iPhone either vertical or horizontal, and great position for my sat nav app. Didn't lIke the way the Brodie ones fitted to the dash and ve...

Re: What engine would you have?

I am biased I guess, but I did drive the 140, 170 and the petrol 160 before choosing my Roc I do around 12000 miles per annum, and wanted a car for short journeys with a couple of runs every week. My previous car was a Civic Tyrpe R GT. The 160 just felt like a better deal on price overall as it was...

iphone holder for my rocco

Hi everyone, i have an iphone that i use for sat nav, but currently it lives in the cup holder next to the handbrake and talks me to my destination. I was wondering if anyone actually had a decent cradle for their iphone that was visible on a journey but did not damage or permanently attach to the d...

Re: Factory Mats On New Cars

Hi I am confused. I did not order mats, as I did not even think about it at the time. When it was delivered I was told that they had thrown the luxury mats in, they are pretty nice and thick but no logo. I must say plain black looks very nice and suits the interior well, but are these the standard m...
